Hello Everyone!

You have successfully completed the first two weeks of school in your new grade. Congratulations!
During this time you have been introduced to new routines, a new curriculum and even a new schedule.

Some of the things that we have covered are:

Student Purpose Statement
Digital Citizenship and Responsibility
"Who Am I" - World View Writing and Image
Exploring the idea and Concept of World View through current and past events
"Today in History" - Important historical events that impact the modern world such as;
- Krakatoa
- Start of World War Two
- Battle of the Frontiers in World War One
- Emmitt Till
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr "I have a dream" speech.

In addition to this we have begun daily reading and writing. As we go forward please feel free to bring in books that catch your interest.

Moving forward we will continue to examine the idea of "worldview" how it affects the world and how how we see it.

This will include a discussion about this event in Brazil and why or if it matters
